Amedisys Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in providing home health care services. As a RN, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and their families by providing care in the comfort of their own homes.
Responsibilities- Coordinates and oversees all aspects of patients' home care.
- Collaborates with patient care teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Educates families on patient condition, needs, and care.
- Performs head-to-toe physical assessments, checks vital signs, and manages medications.
- Gives injections, IV therapy, or tube feedings, and administers and maintains catheters.
- Completes documentation timely and accurately, and supervises LPNs and HHAs.
- Regularly communicates patient progress to the clinical manager, physician, and care team.
- One year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Current RN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work.
- Minimum six months home health experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance.
- Able to assess patient status and identify requirements relative to age-specific needs.
