Position Overview:

In today's rapidly evolving technological landscape, organizations are striving to leverage cloud capabilities effectively. As a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing, managing, and securing a container platform tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clients. Your expertise will be essential in creating container management solutions that address some of the most pressing challenges faced by our clientele.

Your Role:

At Booz Allen Hamilton, you will utilize your technical acumen to drive impactful changes in mission-critical environments. You will have the opportunity to refine your skills with cutting-edge cloud technologies while seeking innovative ways to enhance client environments through container software, ensuring smooth orchestration throughout the process.

As part of your responsibilities, you will:

  • Recommend resources to assist clients in effectively managing and securely adopting container technologies.
  • Continuously enhance your DevOps capabilities while contributing to the development of essential cloud platforms.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Software Engineer, focusing on the development of tools and processes that enhance DevOps or DevSecOps maturity through automation.
  • At least 5 years of experience in troubleshooting and resolving CI/CD pipeline issues.
  • Proficiency in containerization technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.
  • Experience as a Site Reliability Engineer for 2 or more years.
  • Familiarity with programming languages and monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Experience in building and maintaining production systems using infrastructure as code methodologies.
  • Understanding of Site Reliability principles and networking protocols.
  • Ability to work across various operating systems and technology stacks in an agile setting.
  • Eligibility to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in DevOps.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in resolving production issues within established IT service management frameworks.
  • Relevant cloud certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
