We are seeking a highly skilled Dietitian to join our team at the StateJobsNY. As a Dietitian, you will play a critical role in providing medical nutrition therapy to patients, consulting with physicians, and planning and supervising the preparation of special diets and menus.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical nutrition therapy to patients, including consulting with physicians and developing personalized nutrition plans
- Plan and supervise the preparation of special diets and menus, ensuring safe and sanitary conditions
- Train or assist individuals, families, and staff to plan specialized and therapeutic nutrition care plans
- Supervise dietetic interns and technicians, and/or supervise a small food preparation service unit
- Assist in the instruction of students or nutrition interns in medical nutrition therapy and food preparation techniques
To be eligible for this position, you must have a current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or New York State Education Department (NYSED) certification in dietetics-nutrition, and a minimum of an additional 400 hours of supervised dietetics practice under the supervision of an RD.
