PG&E's Electric Engineering department is seeking highly motivated and talented engineers to participate in a 12-month rotational development program. The program provides an opportunity for engineers to gain meaningful experience in up to two departments focused on improving PG&E's large network of electric transmission and distribution facilities.

The rotation assignments will occur within multiple locations, offering a chance to work with various teams and develop skills in different areas. Some available department rotations include:

  • Distribution Asset Planning
  • Transmission Systems Planning
  • Distribution Planning - Distributed Generation
  • Distributions Operations Engineering
  • System Protection
  • Grid Innovation

Participants will have six months in each rotation, allowing them to learn about the rotational department and contribute to its success. Engineers can expect to work within PG&E's service territory with rotation opportunities within the specified departments.

To be eligible for this program, candidates must have received or be receiving a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university by the time of application. A valid driver's license or obtaining one at least 30 days prior to start date is also required.

Successful candidates will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the hourly rate range, which is estimated to be between $48.23 and $52.12 per hour, depending on their qualifications and location. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job and may vary based on individual factors such as education level, experience, and internal equity.
