About the Role

KurzSolutions is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Kyle Health Center in Kyle, SD. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our community.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care for outpatient patients of all ages with diverse medical and nursing diagnoses.
  • Obtain patient history and patient family history.
  • Perform quality control checks and operator maintenance for patient care equipment.
  • Assist in identifying patient needs and implementing the plan of care.
  • Document care given and patient response in the medical record.
  • Prepare patients for physical examinations.
  • Communicate pertinent patient data to healthcare providers.
  • Possess knowledge of emergency drugs and their location.
  • Recognize emergency situations and initiate resuscitative measures.
  • Conduct prescribed orders and document in patient medical records.
  • Assist with patient education regarding medications, therapies, and diagnostic procedures.
  • Assess patient knowledge level and implement plan of instructions.
  • Participate in monitoring quality of care according to professional standards.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding ward services.
Requirements
  • Education: Completed a program in practical nursing of at least 9 months' duration combined with 1 year of nursing assistant experience; or successful completion of a 2-year degree in practical nursing.
  • Licensure: Must possess a current, valid, unrestricted nursing license in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.
  • Certification: Valid American Heart Association certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Experience: Two years of nursing care work in a hospital, outpatient clinic, nursing home, or other supervised medical nursing or patient care facility.
