Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

Nashville General Hospital is in search of a skilled ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This specialized unit features a 13-bed capacity with a 2:1 patient care ratio, ensuring focused attention for each patient and their family.
Key Responsibilities of the ICU RN:
- Administer prescribed medications, perform dressing changes, manage wound care, and monitor vital signs.
- Provide respiratory support and oversee ventilator management for patients.
- Act as the primary coordinator for multidisciplinary patient care.
- Document and communicate patient conditions effectively using computerized systems.
- Assess and collaborate on discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
- Education: Must possess an accredited Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting is preferred.
- Must hold a valid BLS certification upon hire; ACLS, Chemotherapy Competency, and CPI certifications are required within 90 days of employment.
- Current RN license in Tennessee is mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills to enhance communication with healthcare team members, patients, and their families.
