Position Summary:

The Lifeguard Lead is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all guests and patrons within the aquatic facilities. This role includes monitoring activities in the pool and hot tub areas, executing opening and closing procedures, and assisting management in the daily operations of the pool.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Monitor the safety of all guests and patrons in the swimming pool area.
  2. Maintain vigilant observation of all individuals utilizing the facilities.
  3. Ensure accurate completion of opening and closing procedures.
  4. Support management in the daily operational tasks of the pool.
  5. Conduct safety training sessions as required to uphold compliance standards.
Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  1. Proficient in addressing various challenges with initiative and sound judgment.
  2. Skilled in effectively engaging with both internal and external customers, demonstrating patience and diplomacy when necessary.
  3. Capable of performing all required skills for Lifeguard/CPR certification, including swimming proficiency.
  4. Able to work outdoors for extended periods in high temperatures.
  5. Maintains consistent attendance in accordance with established standards.
  6. Exhibits a neat, clean, and professional appearance.
Physical and Mental Demands:
  1. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to fulfill job responsibilities and interact with colleagues.
  2. Competence in reading and understanding safety notices and emergency instructions.
  3. Ability to document important information accurately and follow verbal/written instructions.
  4. Physical capability to lift and carry weights up to 25 lbs, with the ability to move items weighing up to 75 lbs intermittently.
  5. Willingness to stand, move, and work throughout the area, including walking significant distances and climbing stairs.
Working Conditions:

This position is performed in an outdoor pool environment, requiring interaction with guests, department heads, and staff, while adapting to varying levels of noise, temperature, and air quality.

Experience and Education Requirements:

Must be able to obtain and renew all necessary government licenses or certifications, including Adult/Child/Infant CPR and First Aid certifications, as well as Shallow Water Lifeguard certification.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in guest service is desirable.
