About the Job:

This Non-CDL Driver role offers a unique blend of physical and administrative challenges, making it an ideal fit for those who enjoy working outdoors and interacting with customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a garbage truck on specified routes.
  • Read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
  • Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
  • Load and unload trash with no helpers, using hydraulic hand controls.
  • Courteous interaction with customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

A typical schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, with an occasional Saturday as needed, 50-55 hour work week.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A clean driving record.
  • The ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
  • Basic knowledge of truck components to complete pre- and post-trip inspections.

Estimated Salary: $52,000 - $70,000 per year
