Job SummaryThis role is responsible for assisting clinicians and healthcare staff in delivering high-quality medical care, while implementing and evaluating direct patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for exams and treatment by taking and recording vital signs, symptoms, and other necessary measurements.
- Assist providers with exams and minor in-office procedures, while maintaining a clean and functional environment.
- Coordinate and manage patient care, including pre-certifications, referrals, authorizations, prescriptions, and scheduling of patients for clinic, hospital, and other ancillary medical treatments and tests.
- Provide clerical support with patient/client notifications and documentation, including complete medical records and billing information.
- Maintain a clean and functional environment, including cleaning and disinfection of equipment, exam rooms, and storage areas.
- Strong computer skills, including the ability to work with medical software.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in an effective and organized fashion.
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- Knowledge as normally obtained through graduation from an Accredited Medical Assisting Program.
- Experience with office medical procedures and treatments, knowledge of insurance, managed care operations, EMR, and scheduling software.
$17.00 per hour
