Indirect Loan Underwriter

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Indirect Loan Underwriter to join our operations team at Rockland Federal Credit Union. In this role, you will be responsible for underwriting indirect and consumer loans in compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Main Responsibilities:

• Underwrite loan applications by analyzing credit reports and adhering to RFCU policies and procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and ensure departmental compliance.
• Interface with dealers regarding approved and rejected loans and recalculate loan amounts as needed.
• Provide technical assistance to end-users and maintain product configurations.
• Collaborate with IT department and outside vendors to resolve technology-related issues.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 7+ years of consumer/indirect lending experience.
• Proven experience in credit underwriting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Flexibility with work schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
