Overview

Mercy is seeking a skilled and compassionate OB Associate to provide exceptional patient care and support in our labor and delivery department.

As an OB Associate, you will work closely with our nursing and medical staff to maintain professional accountability and technical support for the provision of patient care. Your duties will include a wide range of tasks related to patient care, clerical support, and surgical assistance.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare Operating/Delivery Rooms and patients for labor and delivery procedures, including C-sections
  • Maintain and clean sterile instrumentation according to hospital policy
  • Support the nursing team and patients by providing supportive care and assistance with ADLs
  • Assist with operational support tasks, including maintenance of patient records, bed control, and turnover
  • Transport specimens, patients, and equipment as needed
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • CNA Certification and/or completion of Mercy UAP training within 90 days of hire
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
