Job Summary

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at our newest Detox and Residential treatment facility in South Bend, IN.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality medical care to stabilize clients and enable them to engage fully in treatment
  • Assist with nursing shift duties, including vitals, drug screens, medication management, charting, and reporting
  • Collaborate with extended medical and clinical teams for seamless coordination of care
  • Manage, order, and restock medical supplies as needed
  • Schedule medical appointments and arrange aftercare providers for post-discharge
  • Assist with pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations

Requirements:

  • High School diploma/GED or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Valid licensure to serve as a Medical Assistant in this state (QMA)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Collaborative, multitasking, and time-management skills
  • Knowledge of substance use and its bio-psychosocial consequences
