Job Summary

Chi is seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for performing duties related to invasive cardiology procedures, including circulating, scrubbing, and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Radiographic Equipment: Utilize radiation safety procedures to operate radiographic equipment, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and image quality.
  • Physiologic Recorder/Database System: Operate the physiologic recorder/database system with expertise, recognizing arrhythmias and normal/abnormal waveforms.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate manifold, power injector, and other support equipment, including VCR, ACT machines, oximeters, and transport monitors.
  • Cine Development: Develop cines when necessary, according to policy.
  • Equipment Troubleshooting: Recognize basic equipment malfunctions and troubleshoot equipment in the room. Report malfunctions to Biomed promptly if unable to resolve.
  • Knowledge of Cardiovascular Diseases: Exhibit a strong knowledge base of cardiovascular diseases and interpret data gathered during procedures, recognizing potential implications in patient care or complications.
  • Schedule Management: Help to efficiently run the schedule by maintaining a smooth and steady rate of work, working independently and communicating with other room staff and the schedule coordinator to maximize productivity.
  • Physician Support: Anticipate physician needs by being knowledgeable of procedures performed in the department and equipment necessary for procedures. Set up sterile trays and assist physicians during procedures, utilizing septic technique.
  • Scrub Assist: Scrub assist for AAA, TAVR, and complex endovascular procedures, and radiographic/digital imaging technique for RTR's.
Qualifications
  • Education and Licensure: Associate's Degree preferred, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification.
  • Experience: Minimum three (3) year clinical experience in a hospital setting.
