Job Purpose:

To ensure the operational efficiency of the company's forklifts, road vehicles, and various shop machinery.

Job Summary:

This role reports directly to the Equipment Maintenance Manager.

It necessitates a combination of skills and experience specifically tailored to the maintenance of forklifts, vehicles, and production machinery.

Additionally, the position involves overseeing the upkeep of shop machinery and equipment. All necessary tools for performing job responsibilities will be provided by Sea Box, Inc.

Responsibilities:

1. **Accident Prevention** – Proactively identify, rectify, and/or report safety hazards to avert accidents.
2. **Cost Efficiency** – Actively seek and implement opportunities for cost reduction and enhancements in efficiency and profitability.

3. **Quality Management Support** – Uphold the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and adhere to the Sea Box Quality Policy, which emphasizes self-inspection of work outputs.

4. **Maintenance Support** – Assist in the upkeep of forklifts, vehicles, and production machinery, including preventive maintenance tasks.
5. **Repair Duties** – Conduct repairs and maintenance on paint pumps, rivet guns, and other shop equipment.
6. **Collaborative Work** – Work in conjunction with shop personnel to maintain building and equipment integrity.
7. **Physical Requirements** – Lift production items weighing up to 50 lbs.
8. **Additional Duties** – Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
9. **Alertness and Safety** – Must consistently fulfill essential job functions in a state of alertness and safety.

Requirements:

Skills/Qualifications:

Training in diesel/forklift mechanics and a strong maintenance background.

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in diesel engine maintenance or related forklift or vehicle maintenance.
