Compensation: $38.70 per hour, based on relevant experience.
Job Summary:
The Radiology Technologist will perform a variety of imaging procedures, adhering to the established standards of practice and organizational policies. The role involves:
- Reviewing patient histories and physician orders, along with scheduling procedures.
- Educating patients about the imaging processes to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Preparing and administering contrast media and medications as per the scope of practice.
- Monitoring patient conditions and responding to any changes appropriately.
- Setting up equipment and selecting exposure factors for optimal imaging results.
- Implementing safety protocols and conducting quality control checks on imaging equipment.
- Positioning patients accurately and performing imaging procedures, analyzing results for quality assurance.
- Maintaining accurate records and transmitting images as required.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Licensure/Certification: Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (R) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R). State licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are also required.
Experience:
No prior experience is necessary; however, BLS certification must be valid prior to the start date.
