Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Class A CDL truck driver to join our team at Carlisle SynTec, Inc. as a Tanker Operations Specialist. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a tanker trailer to transport goods and assist with loading, unloading, and processing shipping documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate tractor/trailer in the transportation of freight in accordance with Company, Federal, State and Local laws with regard to run times and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safe working conditions of the tractor and trailer prior to each trip and at the end of each trip.
  • Check gauges and visual indicators for malfunctions, ensure locks on trailers are working properly, and conduct inspection of vehicle before and during trips to determine problems that may be occurring.
  • Promptly report all problems to Fleet Services and/or supervision.
  • May be required to work the dock to include loading and unloading freight.
  • Document and log miles driven, work/rest periods and retain fuel/toll receipts.
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
