$29.47 per hour
POSITION SUMMARY:
Transport trailers between various service hubs and designated locations utilizing tractor-trailer units.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Operate tractor-trailer units, including double and triple configurations where applicable.
2. Conduct daily pre-trip inspections and safety checks on vehicles.
3. Connect and disconnect trailers and converter dollies from tractors and trailers.
4. Complete necessary documentation and reports accurately.
5. Maintain precise daily logs of operations.
6. Adhere to hazardous materials regulations and protocols.
7. Follow dispatch directives and communicate any issues (e.g., delays, arrivals, equipment concerns) as needed.
8. May be required to perform tire chaining on vehicles.
9. May need to undertake duties of a city driver or dock worker when operationally necessary.
10. Load and unload freight as required.
11. Comply with all relevant laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
12. Perform additional tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
Must hold a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with endorsements for double/triple trailers, hazardous materials, and tank vehicles.
- Automatic transmission CDL restriction is permissible.
Must possess an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with hiring standards.
Must fulfill all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory requirements as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier regulations.
Long combination vehicles (LCV) are operated in specific states, and drivers must meet the LCV Qualification and Certification Minimum Standards.
Basic written and verbal communication skills are essential for documentation and interaction with colleagues and supervisors.
Ability to connect and disconnect trailer sets requiring an average lift force of approximately 100 pounds multiple times daily.
Ability to remain seated for extended periods, bend, twist, squat, and climb in and out of the vehicle.Ability to follow instructions and complete necessary training.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Demonstrates initiative and self-motivation.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Drive long distances during day and night across various road conditions and weather scenarios.
Exposure to noise, vibration, dust, and diesel exhaust.
Exposure to hazardous materials in compliance with DOT regulations.
Work hours may vary based on operational needs.
Overnight travel may be required for certain schedules.
*Hazardous Materials endorsement must be obtained within 120 days of job offer acceptance. Employees will not be permitted to operate commercial motor vehicles without this endorsement.
