Work Schedule:
Full-Time Night Shift: 8 PM - 6:30 AM (10-hour shifts, 4 days a week); includes rotating weekends and holidays.

Your Role:
As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will conduct various laboratory tests in your assigned areas, utilizing your licensure and certification. Your work will primarily involve analytical testing of blood and other human biological specimens, requiring a solid foundation of theoretical and practical knowledge in your licensed area(s).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute pre-analytical tasks related to laboratory testing, including equipment maintenance, inventory management, specimen collection, and quality control.
  • Perform all designated tests and analytical procedures efficiently and accurately, adhering to established protocols and standards.
  • Manage post-analytical activities, including reporting results and providing technical support for laboratory testing across all age groups.
  • Facilitate orientation and training for new staff and medical technology students, documenting their progress as needed.
  • Offer guidance to laboratory technicians and support staff, addressing customer service issues and providing educational support to clinical staff.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • An Associate's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist (ASCP, AAB, or AMT) as per state requirements.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical laboratory experience is preferred.
