Job Title: Angular Web Accessibility Developer

Capgemini is seeking an experienced Angular Web Accessibility Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the accessibility of our existing web applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop accessible web applications using Angular and other relevant technologies.
  • Identify and resolve accessibility issues in our web applications.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure accessibility standards are met.
  • Implement accessibility solutions and test on both desktop and mobile browsers.
  • Document fixes and mentor team members to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 7+ years of experience with great expertise in Angular and Web Accessibility.
  • Proven experience working as a UI developer with prior accessibility experience.
  • Strong knowledge of WCAG guidelines.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, RxJS, SASS, SCSS, NodeJS, and Web Accessibility.
  • Hands-on experience in unit testing frameworks like Karma, Jasmine, Jest, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in screen readers like NVDA, JAWS, Voiceover, and Talkback.
  • Familiarity with both desktop and mobile browsers like Google Edge and Safari, and ability to use devtools for debugging purposes.
  • Familiarity with Axe tool.
  • Experienced in cloud platform like AWS.
  • Proficiency in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of software development best practices, including version control (e.g. Git), Agile methodologies, and DevOps principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Nice to Have:

  • Basic understanding of JSPs, Servlets, and Struts.
  • Certification in accessibility development or testing.
  • Experience testing on mobile devices in cloud.
  • Experience in Nx and Monorepo.
  • Experience in GraphQL.
  • Experience in Lit framework.
