Role Summary:
The Laboratory Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational aspects of the laboratory testing teams. This position involves planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and managing testing operations to meet corporate goals. The supervisor will also provide support to staff in specimen processing and evaluations, ensuring adherence to departmental protocols and standards. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of laboratory services and workflows.
- Monitor departmental workload and adjust staffing schedules as necessary.
- Develop and implement strategies for operational excellence, ensuring high quality and compliance.
- Set annual performance goals and key financial metrics for operational functions.
- Act as a point of escalation for staff and client inquiries.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create staffing models and succession plans.
- Ensure staff performance meets standards and address any performance issues promptly.
- Engage and mentor team members based on their strengths and career aspirations.
- May need to perform essential duties of departmental staff as required.

Qualifications:
