We proudly serve over 5,000 members across various sectors, including grain, agronomy, feed, energy, and building supplies. With 30 locations strategically positioned throughout the region, we rank among the top agricultural cooperatives in our area.
Internship Objective: The primary goal of this internship is to acquire practical knowledge across multiple facets of agricultural business while contributing hands-on skills in feed operations to benefit both the company and its member-owners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the promotion of all Innovative Ag Services products and initiatives.
- Assist feed teams in the distribution of feed products and services.
- Maintain regular communication with team members at various locations.
- Participate in feed mill operations, including grinding, mixing, and packaging of feed and additives.
- Collaborate with the customer service representative at the feed mill as assigned.
- Deliver packaged feed to customers or other locations as directed.
- Engage in sales and marketing opportunities related to feed as assigned.
- Perform any additional duties as required.
Desired Skills and Attributes:
- Proficiency in computer applications, including spreadsheets and livestock record management software.
- A strong sense of initiative, effort, and dedication to completing tasks efficiently.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to organize tasks, manage change, and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to agricultural settings, including seasonal weather and outdoor conditions.
- Personal protective equipment may be necessary for certain tasks.
