Nurse Educator RN

Join Northern Light Health as a Nurse Educator RN and play a vital role in shaping the future of healthcare. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for organizing and implementing standardized competencies, education, and onboarding for our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain tracking systems to capture and record staff orientation and skilled competency documentation.
- Organize and facilitate new employee general orientation, ensuring a smooth transition into our healthcare team.
- Administer our online education platforms, including course content, annual assignments, troubleshooting, and regular completion reports to leadership.
- Collaborate with leadership to schedule orientation activities for new staff and maintain our agency education calendar.
- Coordinate programs and educational materials to accomplish identified objectives, promoting a culture of excellence in patient care.
- Provide administrative support for our General Education and Development department, including attendance sheets, event registrations, and communication of events.
- Establish a process for documenting orientation/education completion for all employees in a timely manner and accessible for employment file review/retrieval.
- Register employees for workshops, record attendance in education records, and work with DON to track against budget.
- Participate in the organization and execution of the annual competency fairs, promoting a culture of continuous learning.
- Assist in department meetings and take minutes to guide action items, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Assist with staff education and training, promoting a culture of excellence in patient care.
- Perform administrative tasks associated with the operations of the department and/or organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of our team.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Associate's Degree; BSN preferred.
- 3 years of clinical experience and 3 years of relevant work experience.
This is a full-time position with a 40-hour workweek, working 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This position is eligible for a $10,000 (minus tax) sign-on bonus, paid out incrementally.
This position requires the ability to understand the language used to precisely describe the human body, including its components, processes, conditions affecting it, and procedures performed upon it. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
