Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the lead teacher in guiding toddlers and preschoolers through activities that encourage cognitive and creative development.
  • Facilitate an age-appropriate introduction to the principles of love, creation, and self-worth.
  • Help maintain structured schedules that balance physical activity, rest, and play.
  • Ensure the classroom environment is supportive, nurturing, and aligned with Christian values.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Provide updates to parents regarding their child's development and achievements.
  • Promote the health and safety of all children in the classroom.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to pass a level II background check.
  • Completion of the mandatory 45-hour DCF training is necessary.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required.
  • CDA or FCCPC certification is preferred.
  • Prior experience in childcare or educational settings is advantageous.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Must possess a patient and positive attitude.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Must be organized and self-driven.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
