RN - Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at Lee's Summit Medical Center. As a critical care nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
About the UnitOur 10-bed ICU unit is a high-acuity environment with a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, providing a supportive and dynamic work environment. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, and we are committed to providing ongoing education and training to our staff.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, lab results, and other relevant data to ensure timely interventions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care.
- Current MO RN license or multistate RN license with MO RN license obtained within 90 days of employment.
- BLS certification upon hire and ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification within 90 days of hire and annually within the fiscal year.
- 1-2 years of previous experience in a similar size facility with similar services provided.
