Custodial Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Custodial Technician to join our team at Spotsylvania County- VA. As a key member of our Facilities Management department, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our buildings and grounds.

• Perform routine custodial duties, including sweeping, mopping, and washing walls and fixtures.
• Operate heavy equipment, such as mowers and buffers, to maintain grounds and facilities.
• Assist with minor equipment repair and maintenance.
• Secure and lock buildings at appropriate times.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in labor-intensive maintenance work.
• Valid driver's license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Ability to perform medium to heavy physical work.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Employees in this position may be scheduled to work irrespective of weather conditions and/or when general County offices are closed.
