Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Central Service Technician II to join our team at UnityPoint Health. As a Central Service Technician II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient processing of reusable medical supplies, instruments, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving: Safely handle and decontaminate items according to policy and procedure, ensuring vendor compliance for delivery and packaging of equipment/instrumentation.
  • Processing: Handle and process equipment/instrumentation from all campuses and offsite ancillary departments, ensuring compliance with regulatory protocols for decontamination of instrumentation.
  • Handling: Disassemble items for cleaning and sterilizing, reassembling cleaned and sterilized items, and complete tray assembly inclusive of inventory, inspection, assembly, and containment.
  • Distribution: Transport completed instrumentation to defined storage locations within the operating room and complete handoff to ancillary departments, ensuring vendor compliance for instrument handling, pick up, and inventory control.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year prior experience in Central Services/Central Supply preferred.
  • Certifications: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification to be obtained within 1 year of start date.
