Job Description:

The Department of Defense is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist - Network Operations to join our team. This role will involve managing network operation and maintenance concepts, establishing connectivity between remote sites, and maintaining a full range of network systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of systems administration services.
  • Maintain network operation and maintenance concepts to establish connectivity between remote sites.
  • Maintain a full range of network systems (LAN/WAN) design principles, and methodologies used in installing, operating, managing, and maintaining network services that support functional requirements.
  • Manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • Four competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve hardware/software interface and interoperability problems.

Work Environment:

This role is located within the Department of Defense and requires occasional travel away from the normal duty station.
