POSITION OVERVIEW

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Sales Team Lead, you will perform shift leadership duties in a liquor retail environment. In this capacity, you will be responsible for guiding a shift in a liquor store or supervising the activities of junior clerks, focusing on specific tasks such as processing sales or managing inventory shipments. While overseeing other staff members, you will also engage in routine responsibilities. Key duties include:

  • Providing outstanding customer service and managing sales transactions at the cash register.
  • Receiving and organizing shipments, restocking shelves, and creating product displays.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the store.
  • Training junior employees on store policies and procedures.
  • Assigning tasks and reviewing the performance of junior clerks.
  • Completing shift accounting and inventory reports.
  • Overseeing cash management during your shift and addressing customer service inquiries and product-related issues.

While you will perform routine tasks independently, you will seek guidance from a manager or assistant manager for any new or unusual situations. Your performance will be evaluated through regular meetings and reports to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time position.
  • Work hours may vary between early morning and late evening, seven days a week.
  • Scheduled hours will total 75 hours biweekly.
  • Compensation: The starting salary for this role is fixed and non-negotiable.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Experience and Training:

  • At least six months of experience as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk; or
  • Six months of experience in retail sales.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must meet residency requirements.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions is required.

Legal Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a background check is mandatory. Applicants with felony convictions within the last ten years will not be eligible for employment.
