Radiation Therapist

Tennessee Oncology is a leading provider of cancer care services, and we are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team.

The successful candidate will work closely with our radiation oncology treatment team to deliver accurate doses of radiation to patients as prescribed by our radiation oncologists.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Performing radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the radiation oncologist
• Performing treatment simulations as indicated by the radiation oncologist
• Daily warm up and performance checks of simulation and treatment delivery equipment
• Scheduling patient treatments
• Fabricating treatment devices for patient immobilization and beam shaping in accordance with patient treatment plans
• Performing new start/weekly plan chart checks in accordance with ACRO chart check standards
• Accurately documenting the patient treatment process
• Accurately registering patient films for physician review
• Participating in the quality/process improvement process

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Registered, or registry eligible, radiation therapist licensure granted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
• ARRT licensure must be up to date and in good standing
• BLS for Healthcare certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
