Position Overview
  • The Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering nursing care and managing the treatment of patients with terminal illnesses across various age groups in their residences. This role emphasizes the importance of understanding the psychosocial, economic, cultural, spiritual, and individual health factors that influence patient care and aims to achieve optimal health outcomes.
Essential Qualifications and Skills (KSAs)
  • Education: Completion of a nursing program accredited by the NLN.
  • Licensure/Certifications: Valid licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine. Certification in Hospice care is preferred. A current, valid driver's license is required for transportation, along with liability insurance as per agency guidelines. Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers is also necessary.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in acute nursing is required for this position.
