About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Neuro Intermediate Care Unit at Mount Carmel St. Ann's. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support and patient care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person's physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
  • Direct unlicensed staff in work-related activities under the supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Use assessment skills to collect data and collaborate with RN to discuss next steps in patient care.
  • Communicate pertinent clinical information to appropriate members of the patient care team.
  • Provide patient/family education under the direction of the registered nurse.
  • Collaborate with attending physicians, house staff, registered nurse, and other healthcare disciplines regarding patient care.
  • Perform treatments and procedures according to approved standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an approved Pharmacology Course with NAPNES Certification, OOPNES Certification, or Ohio Board of Nursing Card.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing.
  • Licensure: Current license in good standing to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Ohio.
  • Certification: Current BLS/CPR and maintain current certification; IV certification preferred.
