Position Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Speech Language Specialist to become a vital member of our In-House Therapy Team. Our facility is designed to provide a supportive environment for both patients and staff, fostering collaboration and growth.


Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Valid license to practice in Ohio.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and assign patient care tasks to both professional and non-professional staff.
  • Interpret responsibilities and facility policies to therapy personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with physician's orders.
  • Oversee the maintenance of therapy records, including medical, personnel, accounting, and billing documentation.


Primary Therapy Duties:

  • Assess and treat communication disorders, encompassing motor speech, language, cognitive language deficits, and voice issues.
  • Deliver direct patient services aimed at enhancing cognitive, communicative, and swallowing abilities in individuals with neurological impairments.
  • Evaluate and manage cases for patients with swallowing difficulties.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with medical record quality standards and reimbursement guidelines.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans focused on functional outcomes while adhering to professional standards.
  • Follow administrative policies related to emergency procedures, infection control, and safety protocols.
  • Participate in training initiatives for facility staff, residents, families, and rehabilitation teams.
  • Initiate new program developments aimed at improving residents' quality of life.
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement efforts.
  • Perform additional related duties as necessary.

Compensation:
$55.00 per hour

Expected Hours:
15 – 29 hours per week
