Job Title: Healthy Programs Specialist

Salary: $20 per hour

About the Job:

\

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Healthy Programs Specialist. In this role, you will coordinate activities for participants ages 4-12 years old through an evidence-based 5-4-3-2-1 Go curriculum.

\

Responsibilities:

  • \
  • Provide direct supervision of children ages 4-12 years old\
  • Teach daily nutrition, physical activity and enrichment lessons to a group of 8-20 youth with enthusiasm\
  • Maintain daily schedule in a timely manner, staying on task and completing all activities and lesson plans\
  • Coordinate Healthy Kids Club activities with outside contractors\
  • Assist in documenting project phases and creating summary reports\
  • Works in collaboration with other community groups and organizations to fulfill the program and the agency's mission\
  • Assists in the planning, design, and evaluation of the Healthy Kids Club\
  • Perform other duties as required\

Requirements:

  • Bilingual (fluent in speaking and writing Spanish and English)\
  • Effective planning, coordinating, and organizational skills\
  • Ability to relate to individuals of various ages, ethnic backgrounds and cognitive abilities\
  • Professional manner that exemplifies attention to detail, confidentiality, patience, and a positive attitude toward work\
  • Use good judgment and serve as a role model for children\
  • Build strong relationships, engage with youth, and interact well with different individuals\
  • Ability to work, problem solve, be assertive and make decisions with minimal supervision when required\
  • Ability to show flexibility in response to change and adapt to and accommodate new methods and procedures\
  • Knowledge of basic office equipment and strong computer skills\
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends\
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in education, public health, social work, or related field\
