Research Focus:
The successful candidate will engage in groundbreaking research utilizing advanced techniques such as multiphoton imaging and optogenetics. This work aims to measure and influence cortical networks in real-time during developmental stages.
Key Responsibilities:
100% - Lead independent research initiatives aligned with the laboratory's objectives in collaboration with the Principal Investigator.
Essential Qualifications:
- PhD (or MD/PhD) in Neuroscience, Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline (or anticipated completion before starting the position).
- Proven track record of research achievements.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in techniques such as multiphoton imaging, optogenetics, calcium imaging, or in vivo electrophysiology.
- Familiarity with in vivo recording methodologies.
- Proficiency in scientific and statistical software (e.g., MATLAB, Python).
We encourage applications from individuals who may not have extensive experience in these areas but possess a strong enthusiasm for employing optical methods to investigate neural circuit functionality.
