Overview

Univest Financial Corporation, a leading financial institution in the Mid-Atlantic Region, is seeking a highly motivated Sales and Service Representative to join our Mechanicsburg team. With a rich history dating back to 1876, we have a strong commitment to philanthropy and community development.

As a Sales and Service Representative, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a personal portfolio of prospects and customers, delivering exceptional service, and cross-selling appropriate products and services. You will work collaboratively with our team to identify customer needs and provide tailored financial solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all teller and platform transactions promptly, efficiently, and accurately
  • Adhere to all procedures, including operational and corporate customer service guidelines
  • Operate technology as required
  • Supervise teller operations and increase responsibility in signing authority
  • Complete the Excel Level 1 course and the Univest University Supervisor Certificate Program
  • Identify customer needs and cross-sell opportunities to develop new business
  • Develop working relationships with integrated partners
  • Proactively initiate sales conversations
  • Participate and manage tele-consulting efforts
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of Univest Products and Services
  • Leverage bank promotions
  • Adhere to outlined sales flow
  • Learn and become proficient in daily operational procedures
  • Actively participate in branch activities, development, and training programs
  • Manage and coach staff to desired performance levels
  • Responsible for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to the position, including the Univest Code of Conduct
Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalency
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize
  • Experience in Retail Sales or Telemarketing with proven sales results
  • Strong written/verbal/organizational skills
  • Demonstrated leadership/supervisory ability
  • Energetic and engaging interpersonal communication skills
  • Previous experience with MS Office Suite
  • Previous banking experience or completion of ABA Banking Basics suite
  • Proficiency in daily operational procedures
  • Completion of training in SSR Suite Training
  • Proficiency in daily operational procedures
  • Complete notary training if applicable
  • Neat, professional appearance following established guidelines for appropriate dress
  • Complete the Univest University Supervisor Certificate Program and the Coaching for Performance Excellence course
  • Obtain NMLS registration
