Position Overview:
The Surgery Center is in search of a dedicated Per Diem X-Ray Technician to fulfill a minimum of three shifts monthly. This role is pivotal in our commitment to delivering high-quality outpatient imaging services.

Operational Excellence:
Through strategic partnerships with hospitals and healthcare providers, we focus on creating and managing multi-specialty ambulatory care facilities. These facilities are designed to enhance profitability for our partners while providing essential medical services in a patient-friendly environment.

Role Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to all established policies and protocols to guarantee patient safety at all times.
2. Communicate effectively with patients, ensuring they understand their examination process.
3. Confirm that patients are free from any contraindications or hazards.
4. Accurately position patients for imaging while ensuring their comfort.
5. Maintain continuous visual and verbal contact with patients during procedures.
6. Conduct X-ray examinations in accordance with established protocols.
7. Complete all necessary documentation related to patient examinations.
8. Input patient data into the Tech Data Entry system.
9. Provide films or CDs to patients when applicable.
10. Forward imaging data to the Radiologist upon completion of the examination.
11. Assist clerical staff as needed.
12. Clean and restock equipment and examination rooms as required.
13. Administer contrast as necessary.

Qualifications:
Must possess a valid CPR certification and be licensed in the state of Massachusetts.

Experience:
A minimum of three months of prior experience in X-ray technology is required, along with strong interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be able to sit and use a computer for extended periods, assist patients with mobility challenges, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds. These physical demands can be met with or without reasonable accommodation.

Interactions:
This role involves extensive communication with various stakeholders, including patients, families, referring communities, and other healthcare professionals.
