About the Role:
The Environmental Services Aide - Patient Care is a vital member of the Catholic Health Service team, responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hospital. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, common areas, and equipment, adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Utilize cleaning techniques, solutions, and equipment to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Assist with bed moves, mattress changes, and supply stocking as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve high-quality results and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Respond promptly to direction and requests from supervisors and colleagues.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- One to two years of housekeeping or service worker experience preferred.
- Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods, with occasional bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Must be available to work every other weekend.
