Position Overview:
The Radiologic Technologist plays a crucial role in our healthcare team by:
- Executing high-quality X-ray imaging in accordance with established protocols, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Documenting patient encounters meticulously in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in a timely manner.
- Performing routine X-ray examinations within specified timeframes, including:
- Chest X-ray: 3 minutes
- Extremity X-ray: 3-5 minutes per order
- Spinal X-ray: 4-6 minutes
- Abdomen X-ray: 4-6 minutes
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilizing internal X-ray and care coordination software for accurate documentation and communication of imaging studies.
- Managing multiple patient records efficiently within each hour.
- Coordinating necessary diagnostic tests and referrals to specialists for follow-up care.
- Assisting physicians with medical procedures as per the Scribe scope of practice.
- Communicating effectively with patients, pharmacies, and healthcare providers under physician guidance.
- Maintaining an organized QA logbook and ensuring all necessary materials are available for imaging procedures.
- Providing compassionate care and support to patients throughout their visit.
- Assisting in the training and orientation of new Radiologic Technologists.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- 4-6 months of experience in a similar role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Proficient in various computer systems and software.
- Positive attitude and a passion for delivering outstanding patient care.
- Bilingual skills are preferred based on location.
Physical Requirements:
The role may involve lifting light to moderate weights and requires extensive computer use.
