Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Behavior Therapist to join our team. As a Behavior Therapist, you will work one-on-one with young children, providing individualized therapy sessions and leading peer play and social groups. Your primary responsibility will be to help children acquire new skills and work towards individualized goals tailored for improving communication, social interaction, problem-solving, and adaptive living skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to children with ASD and related developmental disabilities
  • Lead or assist in peer play and social groups to promote social skills and relationships
  • Help children acquire new skills and work towards individualized goals
  • Use evidence-based teaching procedures, behavior change strategies, and data collection methods to inform treatment decisions
  • Collaborate with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Teach children appropriate social behaviors and ensure their safety during indoor and outdoor activities
  • Perform tasks such as diaper changes, potty training, and other care-related responsibilities as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification, preferred but not required
  • Experience with ABA therapy, preferred but not required (training provided)
  • Ability to work with young children (ages 2-6) in various settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
