We are seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Tucson Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neurosurgery and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat new and existing patients with acute and chronic neurosurgical conditions
- Perform minor office procedures, including routine wound care and dressing changes
- Prescribe medications, durable medical equipment, and therapeutic interventions
- Rounding/follow-up care and management of postoperative patients
- Complete perioperative orders for surgical patients
- Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- Two or more years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or eligibility for certification
- Current Arizona state license as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner
- Current Federal Drug Enforcement Agency License for prescribing controlled substances
The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment with a team of healthcare professionals. The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
