Multilingual Teacher

KIPP North Carolina Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate Multilingual Teacher to join our team. As a Multilingual Teacher, you will play a critical role in supporting students who are learning English as their second language. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, building positive relationships with students and families, and contributing to a collaborative and inclusive school culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality instruction to students in grades K-12, using a Structured English Immersion approach.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, using a variety of teaching strategies and materials.
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues, and contribute to a collaborative and inclusive school culture.
• Participate in professional development opportunities, including coaching and mentoring, to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant content area.
• Valid North Carolina teaching license or ability to seek reciprocity.
• Fluency in Spanish.
• Pass criminal background check.
• Demonstrated commitment to closing the opportunity gap.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 2 full years of teaching experience in Multilingual/English as a Second Language Learners (ML/ESL/ELL).
• Experience writing ML plans.
• Experience with ELLevation.
• Experience in teaching in a high-performing charter school and/or schools with a high population of students with free and reduced lunch.
