Job Summary

Verbal Beginnings is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with our licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to provide high-quality speech and language services to our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Assist speech-language pathologists in conducting client screenings and assessments, including language, voice, fluency, articulation, and hearing evaluations.
  • Implement treatment plans and protocols as directed by speech-language pathologists, focusing on the remediation or development of speech and language skills.
  • Collect and compile data to document clients' performance and assess program quality, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Conduct in-service training sessions and family and community education programs to promote awareness and understanding of speech and language services.
  • Perform support duties, including preparing materials, maintaining supplies, and scheduling activities, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Prepare charts, graphs, and other visual displays to communicate clients' performance information, facilitating data-driven decision making.
  • Maintain certification and licensure, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Promote and participate in training activities, research, and publications to advance the field of speech-language pathology.
  • Maintain an average of 30 weekly service delivery hours in the domain of speech-language therapy, ensuring high-quality client care.
Qualifications
  • Current license as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant in the state of practice.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including speech-language pathologists, behavior analysts, and other professionals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, families, and staff.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
