We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a School Nurse. In this role, you will provide medical care and support to students in public, private, and parochial schools, as well as community-oriented services to students, teachers, and parents.
Key Responsibilities- Provide acute care services to students, including administering medication and developing care plans for students with ongoing conditions.
- Consult with teachers, school administrators, and other school staff regarding student care and health information.
- Collaborate with school personnel and parents to provide comprehensive care and support to students.
- Administer emergency treatment as needed to staff and students.
- Monitor student immunization records and educate students and staff on health procedures.
- Perform hearing, vision, and other health screenings.
- State of Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Previous school nursing or substitute nursing experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Knowledge of school laws and policies.
- BLS/CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Knowledge of state health regulations.
