Job Summary:

Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a key member of our dental care team, you will work closely with our dentists to provide exceptional patient care and promote oral health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient dental condition and needs through thorough medical history review, dental charting, and perio charting
  • Deliver direct patient care using established dental hygienist procedures, including cleaning and polishing, radiographs, and sealants
  • Take patient vital signs and maintain accurate electronic records
  • Teach patients proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized care plans
  • Collaborate with dentists to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Perform routine treatment procedures, such as cleaning and polishing, and apply sealants and fluorides
  • Document patient dental history and chief complaint, and record and report pertinent observations
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry advancements

Requirements:

  • Completed dental hygiene certificate program or Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene
  • Current Hygienist license for the state of North Carolina
  • Ability to demonstrate independent thinking, exercise good judgment, and work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to formulate, affect, interpret, and/or implement operating practices
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, dependability, and promptness, and perform frequent repetitive work with attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, procedure manuals, and written correspondence
