The Registered Nurse at Prevea Health plays a vital role as an integral member of our clinic team, delivering patient-centered care with compassion and expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Triage incoming calls from patients and families, assessing their needs, providing guidance, and facilitating appointments with physicians and advanced provider clinicians.
- Provide hands-on direct patient care as needed, ensuring exceptional and safe care within the scope of practice as defined by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing and Prevea's policy.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring the best possible care and outcomes for patients.
- Conduct telephone calls back to patients requiring follow-up care or provide test results, offering health counseling and education to patients and their families.
- Assist the Physician or Advanced Practice Provider with procedures, note their instructions/orders, and make necessary arrangements to ensure they are carried out.
- Graduation from an accredited and approved Nursing program is required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and behaviors.
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
- Competent in patient education/teaching.
- Ability to assist providers with exams, tests & treatments.
- Strong patient assessment skills in person and on the phone in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to administer immunizations and medications.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license with the state of WI is required.
- CPR/BLS Certification-Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from an approved program is required.
