Job Summary

The Physicist MS 1 performs routine quality control and calibration procedures on radiation therapy treatment machines, and participates in treatment planning and patient-specific dosimetry. This role requires a strong understanding of medical physics principles and experience with radiation therapy equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine quality control and calibration procedures on radiation therapy treatment machines
  • Participate in treatment planning and patient-specific dosimetry
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists and other medical professionals to develop treatment plans
  • Document all procedures and results for quality assurance
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Medical Physics, Physics, or related Biomedical Sciences
  • Completion of a residency in therapeutic medical physics from a CAMPEP-accredited program
  • Board eligibility for certification in therapeutic medical physics by the American Board of Radiology
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
