Position Summary

This role is responsible for conducting diagnostic computerized tomography (CT) scanning procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality imaging results in compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and licensing requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work under the supervision of the Radiology Manager, without overseeing other staff.
  2. Assist in the training of imaging students and provide safety lectures regarding CT procedures to hospital personnel.
  3. Maintain professional expertise by staying updated on current literature, practices, and advancements in diagnostic imaging.
  4. Engage in the assessment and/or creation of new imaging protocols and quality improvement strategies, actively contributing to the enhancement of operational effectiveness.
  5. Execute diagnostic CT scanning procedures, ensuring optimal positioning and technique to achieve the best possible imaging outcomes.
  6. Handle finalization tasks, including limited coding using the radiology information system (RIS) to ensure accurate patient data and billing processes.
  7. Conduct regular equipment maintenance and calibration, identifying and resolving any operational issues to maintain safety and functionality.
  8. Educate patients and their families about CT safety and procedural protocols to ensure comprehensive understanding.
  9. Perform additional job-related duties as required.
