Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinician I to join our team at Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio. As a Clinician I, you will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare services to our patients, including reproductive health services, medical assessments, and treatment plans.

Responsibilities
  • Implement overall quality assurance activities and assess, plan, and administer healthcare services to clients
  • Review and interpret medical and social histories, perform medical screening procedures, and order laboratory investigations as needed
  • Provide contraceptive methods, including oral and topical contraceptives, and oversee contraceptive injections
  • Begin training and/or complete privileging for device insertion and removal (implants, IUCs) and EMB
  • Provide emergency contraception, medical assessment and management of basic STI and genito-urinary conditions, and perimenopausal and menopausal services
  • Counsel pregnant women on all pregnancy outcome options and provide pre and post-abortion care
  • Act as a medical consultant to clinic staff, manage emergency situations, and maintain compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and State Board of Pharmacy procedures, policies, and regulations
  • Participate in staff meetings related to center management and provide staff training in current medical procedures relevant to reproductive health
Requirements
  • Education commensurate with Ohio statute licensure requirements for practice capacity (Nurse Practitioner)
  • Current Ohio nursing license, certificate of authority, and certificate to prescribe or be eligible for certificate to prescribe externship
  • Recent graduate up to 1 year experience
  • Ability to see 3-5 patients per hour within 6 months of hire and correctly code visits as required by CMS coding guidelines
  • CPR/BLS Certification required
  • Bilingual in Spanish, Nepali, or Somali strongly preferred
