Position Summary:
The Charge Nurse plays an essential role within our organization, committed to delivering outstanding customer service and nursing care to our Residents. Collaborating closely with the nursing leadership team, they ensure that top-notch care is available around the clock.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate Residents and formulate comprehensive care plans.
- Administer a range of treatments and care to Residents.
- Ensure adherence to medical record policies.
- Dispense medications and monitor the health status of Residents.
- Coordinate medical appointments and consultations.
- Supervise CNAs/STNAs in delivering care.
- Engage in quality enhancement initiatives.
- Report incidents and grievances to the designated personnel.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols diligently.
- Uphold Resident rights and support their decision-making processes.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development programs.
- Execute other essential duties as required.
Supervisory Role:
This position provides general oversight to CNAs/STNAs but does not manage Registered Nurses.
Qualifications:
- Valid state license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
- CPR certification is mandatory.
- Preferred experience in nursing within long-term care settings.
- Familiarity with state nursing regulations is advantageous.
Skills and Competencies:
- Understanding of federal and state nursing regulations.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Capability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Basic proficiency in computer usage is required.
