Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Raleigh General is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in the Cardiopulmonary department. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working closely with our medical team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with a wide range of conditions, including respiratory failure, pneumonia, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
  • Operate and maintain ventilators, oxygen therapy equipment, and other respiratory care devices.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests, including spirometry and arterial blood gas analysis.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans for patients.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
Requirements:
  • Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent experience.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
  • 2 years of experience in respiratory care, preferably in a hospital setting.
Work Environment:

Raleigh General is a 13,000-patient-per-year facility with a Level 3 Trauma Center. Our Cardiopulmonary department is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including 840 ventilators and V60 BIPAPS. We use Meditech as our electronic health record system.
